All of us can delete an important file by accident. Or our computer can crash and we can lose any file we were working on. It may also happen that a portable storage unit breaks, making all its stored files unusable.

Tenoshare 4DDiG helps us recover those lost or deleted files and repair those that are corrupted. Its interface is rather simple to use. In fact, when you open the program for the first time, it shows a brief tutorial with the main functions and their corresponding buttons. You can select the unit you want to scan, and the type of file you want to recover. This is one of the advantages of the program, since you can choose to recover only video or image files, for example, making the search more focused.

Once the scan is finished, the program shows the results. If there are folders, you can open them and obtain a small preview of the files so you can choose which ones you want to recover.

All this may sound good, but the free version of the program only allows you to obtain a very small-low quality preview of the recoverable files. That is, you can't recover anything unless you purchase a license, which is not very affordable. Other features such as file repair aren't available either. In fact, this version should not be advertised as freeware but as shareware or demo.
